Obituary of Mrs. Gladys Lee Baber Chism

<b>Online Obituaries for Lexington, Frankfort, and Versailles KY</b> Versailles- Gladys Baber Chism, 87, widow of Howard Chism, peacefully passed away on Friday, July 19, 2013 following a brief illness. She was born to the late Asa and Anna Baber in Clark County, Kentucky. Mrs. Chism was a charter member of Woodford Community Christian Church where she served in many areas over the years. With her late husband, she was the former Owner and Operator of Convenient Food Stores in Versailles, Lawrenceburg and Harrodsburg. She was devoted to her family and friends, and served the Lord with a sweet and gentle spirit. She shared her unwavering faith and unconditional love with anyone she met. Mrs. Chism is survived by her five children, Paula (Gary) Cardwell, Ann Allison, Yvonne Carter, Ginny (Dennie) Burton, and Jimmy (Rhonda) Chism; 12 grandchildren, David (Alicia) Cardwell, Lynn Cardwell, Jason (Christan) Allison, Angie Disponette, Brad (Stacey) Carter, Karen (George) Murphy, Kelly Burton, Krissy Burton, Michael Burton, Lori Buffin, Drew and Daniel Chism; 15 great grandchildren, Brandon, James, Katelyn and Rebekah Cardwell, Maddy and Macy Allison, Kevin Booth, Shelby and Lily Carter, Alyssa Burton Rachel and Jason Murphy, Laken and Sean Webster and Emily Buffin; 4 great great grandchildren, Joselyn, Jaya and Jenna Cardwell and Klarissa Jines; 2 sisters, Bessie Wilson, Shelbyville, Evelyn Palmer, Winchester; and a brother, Glenn Baber, LA. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her son in law, Jim Allison; grandson, Eric Allison, granddaughter, Kimberly Burton and great granddaughters, Sara Lynn and Sydney Marie Cardwell. <b>Funeral Information</b> Visitation will be from 5-8PM Monday, July 22, 2013 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill. Funeral Services will be at 11am Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Woodford Community Christian Church 320 Hope Lane Versailles, KY. Randy Nation, Gary Black and Jason Allison will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
