Obituary of Margaret Gertrude Jones

<b>Obituary</b> Lexington - Margaret Gertrude Jenkins Jones, 78, died Friday. She was born October 28, 1933 in Winchester, Kentucky, daughter of the late Irby Campbell Jenkins and Orpha Lee Bentley Jenkins. She was known to relatives and childhood friends as Gertie. She was formerly married to Keith Jones. She is survived by her children Pam Moon (Dan), Mark Jones (Preetii Mishra), and Cindy Jones (Gary Gomulinski). She also leaves behind four grandchildren: Callie Phillips, Oliver Jones, Parth Mishra, and Danica Moon, one sister, June Hampton, two sisters-in-law, Mary Jenkins and Maxine Jenkins also survive her. One sister and three brothers preceded her in death: Elizabeth Blair, Michael Jenkins, J.T. Jenkins and Lyman Utah Jenkins. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Margaret was a graduate of Lafayette High School and attended Transylvania University. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church for many years. She retired from the accounting department at Jefferson Pilot Life Insurance Company. Margaret was an active board member for many years at her condominium association. She leaves behind many special friends: Frankie, Judy, Martha, Jerry, Sam, Gilberta and Rebecca.
