<b>Online Obituaries for Frankfort, Ky</b> Frankfort-Robert L. Jones Jr., 86, husband of Libby Walker Jones, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014. He was born on May 5, 1928 in Whitley Co. to the late Robert L. Jones Sr. and Mary Parks Jones. Mr. Jones served as an elementary teacher, high school teacher, elementary principal, high school principal, Supervisor of Instruction; part-time instructor at Cumberland College; Registrar and Director of Admissions-Union College.; Kentucky Department of Education, serving in the positions of Assistant Director of compensatory Education (Title 1), Bureau of State and Federal Relations; Unit Director for Grants Management, Office of Research and Planning; Unit Director II, Division of Accounting, Office of Finance and Fiscal Control; Instructional Services Advisor, Accreditation Evaluator, Division of Accreditation, Office of Instruction; presently serving as assistant to President Jim Taylor, Cumberland College. He served as a member of the Board and Deacon of First Christian Church; member of the Grand Lodge of Kentucky, F. A.M. and the Ken-Tenn Chapter, R.A.M. His awards and honors; Phi Delta Kappa, Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, Vice President of Kentucky Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, 1967-68; President of Kentucky Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, 1968-69; Who's Who in American Colleges and University Administration, 1970-71. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister, Phyllis Gaddy, Almeda Powers, and Norma Ballou. <b>Funeral Information</b> Funeral service will be Tuesday, September 30, 2014 6:00 PM at First Christian Church. Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 PM until time of service with Rev. Meredith Siler and Rev.Dr. David N. Blondell officiating. Graveside service at Highlands Park Davis Edition Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 1:30 PM in Williamsburg, Ky.
