Obituary of Jean Doris Mitchell Clark

<b>Online Obituaries for Lexington, Frankfort, and Versailles KY</b> Jean Doris Mitchell Clark, born June 29, 1926, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, March 10, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy Pulliam Mitchell and Orville A. Mitchell, Sr.; three brothers: Orville A. Mitchell, Jr., Donald Mitchell, and William Jackson Mitchell; a sister: Ella Rachel Parrish; and a daughter, Amy Lynn Clark. Ms. Clark is survived by her husband of 70 years, Luther Clark, Sr.; a son, Luther "Sonny" (Pauline) Clark, Jr. of Frankfort; two daughters, Verona "Ronnie" (Wayne) Dunn of Frankfort and Becky (Dennis) Rogers of Canton, Georgia; eight grandchildren: Gretchen Goodman (Mike) of Danville, Jason Dunn (Kris) of Frankfort, Eric Clark (Holly) of Louisville, Daniel Clark of Frankfort, Gabriel Giles (Christie) of Frankfort, Jennifer York (Bill) of Auburn, Alabama, Sarah Vaughn (Michael) of Canton, Georgia, and Jacob Rogers of Miami, Florida; sixteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Also, one brother, David (Susan) Mitchell and two sisters, Ann (Eugene) Pulliam and Mary (Tim) Jumpp, all of Frankfort, as well as several cherished nieces and nephews. Ms. Clark was born in Franklin County and grew up in the Bald Knob area. She worked for the Personnel Department of State of Government and belonged to Frankfort First Assembly of God Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, aunt, sister, friend, neighbor and child of God. Pallbearers will be grandsons Jason Dunn, Eric Clark, Daniel Clark, and Jacob Rogers, as well as grandsons-in-law Mike Goodman and Michael Vaughn. Honorary pallbearers will be her remaining grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family wishes to express deep appreciation to the staff of Masonic Home of Shelbyville for the loving care provided to Ms. Clark. <b>Funeral Information</b> Visitation will be held at Clark Legacy Center on Friday, March 13, from 10 am to 1 pm followed by a service at 1 pm conducted by Rev. Tim Jumpp and Dr. Mike Colston. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
