Obituary of Patrick "Pat" T. Blackburn

<b>Obituary</b> Blackburn, Patrick Thomas, 50, of Lexington, was lifted up in his heavenly Father's arms and carried home to rest on Tuesday morning, June 4, 2013. He was born on September 18, 1962 and graduated from Henry Clay High School. He attended Cumberland College and Campbellsville College as a minister of music major before returning home to help his family at Blackburn's Frame Products. He later worked at CAKY, UPS and Home Depot where he made friends of many of his co-workers. The only thing that came near to his love for God and his family was his passion for playing his guitars and singing to worship and praise the Lord. Pat left here on earth his devoted wife of 21years, Gaye, and his loving son, Thomas Anderson Blackburn, who adored him and whom he treasured; his loyal guardian and "therapy puppy", Maggie; his doting parents, James and Vivian Blackburn; nephews James (Caitlin) Ritchey and Grant Ritchey, and niece Katy Ritchey; his mother-in-law who loved him like a son, Mildred Durham; two special sisters-in-law who loved him like a brother; and his father-in-law, Alfred Durham. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Ritchey, who cherished him, and his nephew, Benjamin Patrick "Ben" Ritchey, grandparents, Maude and Ira Blackburn and Marshall and Julia Smith. He was a member of Anchor Baptist Church in Lexington. <b>Funeral Information</b> Visitation will be 5-7 pm, Friday, June 7, 2013 at Anchor Baptist Church in Lexington. Funeral will be held at 11 am, Saturday, June 8, at Anchor Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky. Burial will follow at Lexington Cemetery.
