Obituary of Dorothy C. Harding

<b>Lexington, Kentucky</b> Dorothy Cunningham Harding, 90, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Earl Ora (Brown) Cunningham. Born and raised in Salvisa, Ky, Dorothy was a longtime member of Craig Chapel AME Church. She graduated from West Side High School in Harrodsburg and later Kentucky State College. A WWII veteran, Dorothy served in the Women's Army Corps as a surgical technician. After retiring from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Medical Center, in Lexington, KY she worked as a substitute teacher and gave arts crafts classes to seniors. She also worked with the Lexington Public Library Book Buddy program taking library books to home-bound adults. Survivors include her sons Robert Harding III and Keithan Harding, her sister Hazel Wilcher and grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dorothy was preceded in death by her sisters Pansy Spalding and Earlene Bray. <b>Funeral Information</b> Memorial service will be 3pm, Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Craig Chapel AME Church, 117 Walnut St., Salvisa, KY. Burial service will be 11am, Friday, December 19, 2014 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
