Obituary of Glenn Edward Padgett

<b>Obituary</b> Lexington - Glenn Edward Padgett, died July 3rd on the 70th anniversary of marriage to Blanche Padgett who survives him. He was born in Somerset, Ky. on August 25, 1920. He was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Entzminger. He is survived by three children, Thomas Padgett (Nelia), Richard Padgett and Nancy Padgett (Tom Schnauthiel). He has five grandchildren, David Padgett, Gregory Padgett (Diane), Damon Coates (Michelle), Whitney Morelock (John) and Marshall Schnauthiel. He has eight great grandchildren. He graduated with high distinction from U.K. and did graduate work at Harvard and M.I.T. He served as a 1st Lt. in U.S. Army Signal Corps. His professional career was spent with General Electric as Chief Quality Control Engineer. He was a deacon at Central Christian Church, president of the Society of Quality Control Engineers, active in Junior Achievement and the Bluegrass Boys Ranch. His passion in later life was the Kentuckians Barbershop Chorus, the music and the meaningful friendships. Following a private family burial, a celebration of life will be held at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing from 3 to 5 on Sunday, July 7th, 2013. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Dr. Lex. 40504. <b>Funeral Information</b> Celebration of Life - Sunday, July 7th, 2013 - 3-5pm - Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing.
