She was the oldest daughter born September 7, 1936 in Pike County, KY to the late Lora and Elva Conway and had 9 brothers and sisters. She moved to Frankfort, KY in 2005 to be closer to her children and grandchildren following a triple-bypass surgery. She transferred to the Wal-Mart in Lawrenceburg, KY where she retired in July 2014. Esta was a life-long member of First Baptist Church in Pikeville, KY and attended Buckrun Baptist Church in Frankfort, KY. Survivors include her children, Pauline Roberts (David), Frankfort; Jeanene Clark (Philip), Louisville; Jackie Standifur (Jon), Lawrenceburg; Dean Coleman (Tracy), Pennsylvania; and James Coleman (Paula) Virginia; twelve grandchildren Dustin, Kim, Lauren, Stephanie, Carolyn, Matthew, Heather, Elizabeth, Teddie, Nikki, Megan and Sara; seven great-grandchildren (who called her gran-nan), Ricky, Shawn, Trevor, Christopher, Alexx, Reese and Charliegh; two sisters, Helen Smith and Phyllis Maynard; and two brothers, Chuck Conway and Tommy Conway. James Coleman, Dean Coleman, David Roberts, Philip Clark, Matthew Clark, Ricky Conway, Shawn Conway, Trevor Conway, will serve as pallbearers. Esta was a beautiful woman inside and out. She had a personality that just drew you in, she never met a stranger. She talked frequently about her children and their successes and loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren so dearly. She had so many lifelong friends. She made sure her children had a well rounded education, she and her late husband made many sacrifices to see that that happened. Her late husband, Orville Coleman, was in the U.S. Navy, her two sons, James and Dean, followed in his footsteps. Esta became an amputee in March 2013 following a stroke and moved in with her daughter Pauline. One of her favorite things to do was go on a walk with her daughter; her daughter would push her in her wheelchair and she would wave to the neighbors and just smile; she loved her weekend outings. She went to Florida for two months to visit her brother, she had a wonderful time and talked about moving to Florida when her daughter retired. She loved visiting with her three great-grandchildren, Ricky (7), Shawn (6) and Trevor (5). She adored all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; they will have wonderful memories of their gran-nan. Esta will be sorely missed by her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She was a strong believer in God and she is now dancing in heaven with her husband. She left this world knowing that all five of her children loved her very much. Visitation will be from Sunday October 12, 2014 2-5 PM.
