Obituary of Joyce Ann Van Lue White

<b>Lexington, Kentucky</b> Joyce Ann Van Lue White, 73, wife of Charles E. "Chuck" White, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, after a sudden onset of heart/respiratory complications. She was an organ donor and encourages others to do the same. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late H.L. and Edith Van Lue. She was an active member of Southside Christian Church of Christ. She retired several years ago from Gibson Greetings as a merchandiser. After retiring, she pursued more fully her hobbies of sewing and making quilts. Many family members were recipients of her handiwork. She was an active member of Quilters' Guild of the Bluegrass and of Project Linus (which makes and donates quilts and blankets for children to various agencies) in Lexington. In addition to her husband of 54 years, she is survived by four children: Suzanne Cassara and husband Michael of Long Island, New York, Gregory D. White and partner Darryl Anderson of Alexandria, Virginia, David H. White and wife Dana of <b>Lexington, Kentucky</b> and Steven M. White and wife Beth of <b>Lexington, Kentucky</b>; six grandchildren; Michelle Cassara Glass, Amanda Cassara, Bailey White, Dylan White, Ellie White and Jamal White, all who were the joy of her life. She is also survived by her sister, Sandra Slone;her brother, David Van Lue, both of Indianapolis. <b>Funeral Information</b> In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Southside Church of Christ.
