Obituary of Glenda Needham Harned

<b>Frankfort</b> Glenda Needham Harned, 69, of <b>Frankfort</b>, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter in Greenfield, Tennessee on December 19, 2013. Born May 31, 1944 in Obion County, TN, she was the youngest child of the late Edward and Myrtle Warren Needham. She married Enoch Harned in Louisville, Kentucky in 1964 where they lived with their two daughters. Moving to <b>Frankfort</b> in 1979, Glenda was an employee of the Kentucky Historical Society for more than 20 years, serving as executive assistant to the director during the planning and construction of the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History. Glenda's life was characterized by selfless devotion to family, faith, and friends. Through life's many challenges, she found the quiet fortitude to care for everyone she loved who depended on her strength, grace, and sense of humor. She was, and will remain, an inspiration. A member of the Camden Avenue Church of Christ in Versailles, Glenda's faith sustained her as she passed into the hands of God and found peace. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Enoch; sisters, Modine Needham and Terrica McKee; and brothers, Warren and Ross Needham. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Michelle Willis, Melanie Jones and her husband Kent; granddaughter Rachel Willis and grandson Braden; siblings Billie Jean Whitworth, Linda Davis, Peggy Collins, Edna Margaret Allan, Benson Needham and James P. Needham; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. <b>Funeral Information</b> Her funeral service will be held Monday, December 23, at 1 pm at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd., with Brent Arnold officiating, with the burial following at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-8 pm.
