Obituary of David Allen Boling

<b>Obituary</b> David Allen Boling, 71, of Bagdad, Kentucky and husband of 49 years to Patsy Fisher Boling, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013. He was born on November 20, 1941 to the late James and Jennie Wainscott Boling in Owen County, Kentucky. Mr. Boling worked in various positions for the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the Department of Information Systems for 34 years. He was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church in Owen County. Mr. Boling was an avid Ford enthusiast who loved Mustangs. Mr. Boling was a member of the Falls City Mustang Club of New Albany, IN, where he served as the MCA Regional Director. He was also a member of the Mustang Club of America. He and his wife also participated in many local car shows, where a large focus of their time and efforts was for charitable contributions. Mr. Boling and his wife traveled across the United States and Canada to many MCA Shows, where they received countless awards for their Mustangs. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Dawn Michele Courtney of Lexington, Kentucky; his son, Jason Allen Boling of Columbus, Ohio; his granddaughter, who was his pride and joy, Maygen Daphna Courtney of Lexington, Kentucky; his aunt, Birdie Litteral of Louisville, Kentucky; and his best friends and brother in arms, Wayne and Susan Popp of Frankfort, Kentucky. <b>Funeral Information</b> Visitation will be 4-8 pm, Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Clark Legacy Center, 3000 Versailles Road, Frankfort, Kentucky. Funeral service will be 1 pm Friday, February 1, 2013, also at Clark Legacy Center, with Rev. Jeff Peed officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as Casketbearers will be Wayne Popp, Ben Popp, Berry Popp, Brad Popp, Bryan Courtney and Steve Merritt. Honorary Casketbearers will be Marty Clegg, Mike Rains, Mike Crosby, Morgan Chandler, Norb Thompson and Danny Purcell.
