Obituary Marjorie Jean Tudor Harper, age 77, of Lexington, KY was called home to The Lord on the morning of June 18, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents Oscar Tudor and Della Smith, brothers John and Jim Tudor, and sister Minnie Jo. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Jake Harper; daughter Sherry Stinnett and her husband Darrell; son Tony Ray Harper and his wife Jennifer; grandson Michael Stinnett and his partner Robbie Ashworth; sisters Betty Tudor Vanderpool and Thelma Tudor Wilson; and sisters-in-law Lois Harper and Faye Tudor. Margie is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who also knew her love and kindness as a "mother". Margie was a graduate of Nicholasville High School, class of 1953. She was an avid reader, enjoyed solving crosswords and word-finds, and working in her vegetable garden. Margie was a member of East Hickman Baptist Church, and among her favorite Bible verses was John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." As her family and friends gather to celebrate her life and to mourn her passing, they do so in the spirit of Ecclesiastes Chapter 3:1-4 "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven; a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to reap; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance." In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to Hospice of the Bluegrass Care Center because of their kindness, compassion, and professionalism as they provided exceptional care and comfort to Margie and her family in their time of need. Funeral Information Visitation willl be at The Clark Legacy Center Thursday, June 20, 2013 from 5-7 PM, a memorial service will follow at 7 PM.
