Obituary of Ashley Nichole Colwell

<b>Lexington, KY</b> Ashley Nichole Colwell, 25, died August 24, 2015. She is survived by her daughter Kelsey Cross; parents William and Angela (Gilbert) Colwell; half-sister Stella Layken; grandparents Gene and Genny McCarty and Andy and Mary Smith. Ashley was an attender of The Church of Christ. She loved animals and was known for adopting a stray or two. In her earlier years, her remarkable memory earned her distinction in her high school. She was a happy, loving person who loved spending time with Kelsey and traveling to any beach she could. Ashley had an adventurous spirit, and her frank nature always let people know what she was thinking. She was an accomplished poet, who tended to look at life on her terms. Ashley will be missed by all who knew her. <b>Funeral Information</b> There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends from 1-3 PM, Sunday, August 30, 2015, followed by a service at 3 PM at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing.
