Obituary of Alfred Joseph Strauss Jr.

<b>Obituary</b> Alfred "Al" Strauss Jr, 94, of Lexington, Kentucky, died Thursday, November 22, 2012. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on June 3, 1918 to the late Alfred and Goldie Marx Strauss. Al is survived by his wife, Beulah Strauss; daughters, Gigi Gentry, of Lexington, Kentucky and Rae Marie (Elwyn) Hopkins of Indiana; son, Louis A. (Judy) Strauss of Lexington, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jimmy, Andrew and Mark Strauss, Jackie and Joel White, Dana Bina and Megan Hopkins; 11 great grandchildren; his cousin, David Hirsh of Illinois and trusted friend, Calvin Underwood. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Madelyne Strauss in 1989. Al will always be remembered for his playful sense of humor, jokes, and playing pranks on family and friends, as well as his talent as and artist and designer. The family would like to extend a special thanks for the loving care Al received at Lexington Country Place. <b>Funeral Information</b> Visitation will be 12:00-1:00 pm, Monday, November 26, 2012 at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 pm. Burial will take place in Lexington Cemetery.
