Obituary of Christopher Adams McGarey

Lexington, KY Christopher Adams McGarey, 55, died November 1, 2014. He is survived by his daughters Kristi McGarey (JD) Silvey, Raven (Jason) Hall, Sarah Dawn McGarey and Morgan Renee McGarey; brother Jerry (Vivian) McGarey and granddaughter MaKenzie Hall. He is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Patricia (Adams) McGarey and brother Lloyd Douglas McGarey. Chris was a member at Southland Christian Church. Chris was a proud parent, whose greatest joy was spending time with his family whom he loved unconditionally. He enjoyed attending any of their church and school programs and activities to include: soccer, basketball, Upward, dance and most recently Morgan's swim events, where he was always cheering for his favorite swimmer. One-on-one times with Sarah were special for this father and his Girlbaby. Chris cherished the special family evenings that were spent with Kristi and JD. Although distance was a factor, Raven was always very close in her daddy's heart. He was computer savvy and loved the latest technology and it's gadgets. His idea of a good day, was cooking his special spaghetti and brownies for his children. Chris enjoyed movies with his daughters, eating out with his family and any opportunity to spend time with his girls. Places Chris enjoyed were the family home in Florida, Disney World and various family trips. Hanging out with "Salem" and watching his favorite Sci-fi movie was also an evening well spent. Although not married at this time, he shared a very unique and special bond with Gay. Chris will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral Information Visitation will be Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 6-9 PM at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing.
