Obituary of John E. Hembree

<b>Lexington</b> John E Hembree, was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on September 4,1935. His Dad Joe Hembree worked in the coal mines in the day and the sawmill in the evening. His mother Dolly Jackson Hembree stayed at home and cared for John and his sibling,s Robert,James and Joyce. John started his long work career at the early age of 5 working around the house and helping his dad chop firewood to keep them warm in the winter. When John was a teen he started work at Brook's service station to help support his family. He was working so much he got behind in his school work, but never gave up and graduated when he was 23! John moved his family to <b>Lexington</b>, KY in the 60's and soon started work at L.R Cooke Chevrolet. He was a service Advisor there for 21 years with a perfect attendance record. John then set his sights on a career at the Fayette Co. Public Schools. John completed 25 dedicated years of service with a perfect attendance record and enjoyed every day. After his retirement John then went back to work at the Salvation Army helping others with his 12 years of service. He loved his family and dedicated his life every day to them and to our lord and savior Jesus Christ. John loved his church, Bethel Assembly of God which later became Highpoint church. John never met a stranger and loved sharing his worldly advice with everyone he met. His smile was contagious and his heart was always genuine. He loved being a handyman on the side and taking care of the properties he owned. If you ever had the chance to meet him, you will never forget his charm, happiness, generosity, dedication, character and his great love for life. He is survived by Sons; John E. Hembree, Gary W. Hembree, and Jeffery A. Hembree. Brother; Robert B. Hembree. <b>Funeral Information</b> Private burial will be held. Donations Link: American Heart Association
