Obituary of William E. "Wild Bill" Wilson

<b>Online Obituaries for Lexington, Frankfort, and Versailles KY</b> William E. "Wild Bill" Wilson, of Lexington and formerly of Corbin and Harlan, born November 23, 1921 to Price and Nell Wilson and was married to Lillian Karr Wilson for 73 years and they departed their lives together on April 7, 2015 within minutes of each other. He was preceded in death by his sister Eloise Meadors. He is survived by three sons; Mike (Sherry) of Tucson, AZ, Terry (Carolyn) of Manchester, and Doug (Sandy) of Lexington, grandchildren; Rob (Michelle) of Lexington, Casey (Jessie) of Phoenix, AZ, Kara (Tim) Lunsford of Manchester, Ryan (Stephanie) Wilson of Richmond, and five great grandchildren. He was a former star football player for Corbin Redhounds. He served in the US Army during WWII. He went into the retail business and was manager of Belks and Bowers department stores in Harlan, and was later an executive buyer and promoter for Top Value Stamps in Dayton, OH. Then in 1973, he started Landmark Realty in Lexington and retired from the real estate business in 2000. <b>Funeral Information</b> A gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday April 11, 2015 from 4-6PM followed by Celebration of Life at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing.
