Obituary of Joyce Eliana Thompson

<b>Lexington, Kentucky</b> Joyce Eliana Thompson was born October 8, 1948 in Georgetown, the daughter of J.W. and Mae Christene Gillispie Thompson. Joyce graduated from Scott County High School in 1966. Joyce owned and operated Indian Acres Daycare on Pocahontas Trail for many years and anyone who knew her new exactly how much she loved all the children she cared for daily. After selling her center, she retired to having a small in-home childcare, providing care for yet more little ones. Survivors include her son, Brad (Tammy) Johnson and daughters, Bridgett (Jim) Lydon and Brandi Johnson; grandchildren, Eliana Garrison, Joseph Garrison, Cameron Lydon, Nicholas Lydon, Nikki Proulx, Alexis Gossey, Gracelynn Garland, David Garland; great grandson, Couper Cummins; and her sister, Tina (Ronnie) Barnes. She is preceded in death by her parents. <b>Funeral Information</b> A celebration of life for Joyce Eliana Thompson will be held April 3, 2015. Visitation is from 5pm to 6:30pm. Memorial service 6:30pm to 7:30pm. Final visitation will be 7:30pm to 9pm at Harmony Christian Church, 170 Southgate Drive, Georgetown.
