Obituary of Carlton "Sonny" Phillips Jr.

<b>Lexington, KY</b> Carlton Phillips Jr. broke the bonds of his earthly home on April 12, 2014, at the age of 73 to reunite in heaven with his mother and father, Mildred Mayberry Phillips and Carlton Phillips Sr. He passed peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospice unit. At his bedside were his beloved daughters, Cynthia Lee (Brad) Johnson and Christine Marie (Kris) Phillips, and his sister, Pat Morgan of Memphis. He also leaves his grandsons, Michael Chase Johnson, William Hunter Johnson, Stuart Blake Johnson, and Bradley Nicholas Johnson, along with his sisters and brothers in-law, Ann (Houston) Baxter of West Memphis, Arkansas, Peggy (Walter) Bringle of Rockport, Texas. In addition, he leaves many, many friends and long-time colleagues in Louisville and, more recently, Naples, Florida who enriched his life. He loved to play golf and was an avid sports fan "U of L". He was a man of great character, integrity and a true professional, but mostly a wonderful father. <b>Funeral Information</b> A memorial will be held in his honor at a later date in Naples, Florida.
