Obituary of Henry F. Thornton

<b>Obituary</b> Henry F. Thornton, 91, of Frankfort, Kentucky, passed away July 5, 2012 at Hospice Care Center in Lexington, Kentucky . He was born on November 7, 1920 in Owen County, Kentucky, to the late Fern and Annie Webb Thornton . He served with US Army during WWII, was a member of North Frankfort Baptist Church, VFW Post 4075, American Legion, and was a Kentucky Colonel. He retired from Ky State Government Department of Highways. He was also a construction supervisor for Horn and Goin Concrete Company, and was also a farmer. Mr. Thornton is survived by his two daughters, Bonnie Thornton and Connie Thornton; two special nieces that helped with his care during the past year, Betty Mitchell and Sharon Cummins; his sister-in-law, Polly Thornton; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Catherine Smither, brothers, Leonard, Ben, and Keller Thornton, and the mother of his children, Juanita Wise Thornton. <b>Funeral Information</b> Visitation will be 4-8 pm, Monday, July 9, 2012 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road. Funeral Service will be 10:30 am Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd, with Rev. Ken Collins and Rev. Wayne Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at Frankfort Cemetery. Casketbearers are Gary, Chris, and Jeffrey Mitchell, Donnie Dean, Kevin Ford, and Billy Clark. Honorary Casketbearers are David Chisley, Roy Moore, Frank Wagoner, and Cecil Hayden.
