Obituary of Ross Mills Jr

<b>Online Obituaries for Lexington, Frankfort, and Versailles KY</b> Frankfort- Ross Mills Jr., 90, husband of Anita Timm Mills, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015. He was born in Pineville, Kentucky on June 3, 1924 to the late Ross and Viola Mills. Mr. Mills worked for the Kentucky Department of Education as a teacher, principal and pioneered the social worker/counselor program. Mr. Mills was also a disabled veteran of the US Navy, serving for 16 years including World War II and the Korean War. Mr. Mills is survived by his sons Ross William and Michael "Mickey" (Beth) Mills; his grandson Ross Britton (Rachel) Mills; and one great-grandchild MacKenzie Mills; his sister Ruth Azbill; his brothers Tom, Ralph and Bill Mills. He was preceded in death by brothers Paul, Stacey and Bob Mills. Mr. Mills was a noble man who was a Mason and an Oleika Shriner. <b>Funeral Information</b> Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday April 4, 2015, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road, Frankfort, Kentucky. Pastor Steve Flynn will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as casket bearers will be Ross Britton Mills, Doug Sanderson, Joe Sanderson, Bobby Scruggs, Brett Mills, Robert Scruggs, Lynn Harris, and Tony Benassi. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until start of service.
