Obituary of William Duane "Cowboy" Garland

<b>Online Obituaries for Lexington, Frankfort, and Versailles KY</b> Frankfort: William Duane "Cowboy" Garland, 55 passed away Saturday September 6, 2014 from a short illness. He is survived by his loving parents Ronald and Norma Garland of Perryville, Ky. He was raised in Frankfort, Ky. and attended Franklin County High School. He played football for Franklin County Flyers and graduated in 1977. He also attended Murray State University, and later moved to Florida and became Mayor of Marsayktown, Florida. He is survived by his children Amanda (Scott Barber) Garland of Florida and James Zackary Garland of Minnesota. Sisters, Rhonda (Eric) Olson of Danville, and Kim Hargraves of Frankfort. Brother, Jeffery Garland of Perryville. Grandchildren, Colin, Bradley, and Madilynn. Niece and Nephews, Meagan Garland, Jantzen Garland and Derek Olson. He was loved and will be missed by many. <b>Funeral Information</b> Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. officiated by Rev. Donald Garland. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday. Casketbearers will be Kevin Smith, Curt Vaughn, Josh Harper, Jantzen Garland, Derek Olson, and Chuck Robertson.
