Obituary of Dorothy "Dotty" J. Crutcher

<b>Obituary</b> Dorothy "Dotty" Jackson Crutcher, 92, went to be with the Lord, March 26, 2013 surrounded by loved ones. She was born October 23, 1920 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Charles Scott and Artia Lula Perry Jackson. Dotty was a loving, kind-hearted and devoted wife , mother, grandmother and friend. She and her late husband George G. Crutcher made their home in Louisville where they raised their three children, and later Dotty was a second mother to grandchildren Debbie Dennis Rutledge. In 2010 , age 89 , she moved to Sayre Friendship Tower at Sayre Christian village here in Lexington. Dotty was an Education major at Uof L . In her varied life she taught school, worked retail, served in Beautification League DAR, and later in life she worked in real estate. Dotty kept her curiosity, and her love of lifelong learning. She enjoyed family, friends, genealogy, crafts, gardening, homemaking and humor. Always at the center of her life was gratitude, and the love of God and her family. She is survived by her three children and their spouses including: Doug Crutcher, MD and Leslie(Lexington), George and Melissa Crutcher (Colo), Sherry Ted Cole (Tx); 7 grandchildren: Dennis Rutledge, Debbie Lockyear, John Cole; Allison Cooke, Steven , Elizabeth, Jackson Crutcher great granddaughter Allison Lockyear. <b>Funeral Information</b> A Memorial service will be held at future date.
