Obituary of Ken "KD" Gaunce

<b>Obituary</b> Ken "KD" Gaunce, 68, husband of Patsy Gaunce, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013. Ken was born on May 22, 1945 in Bourbon County, KY to the late David and Sarah Wagoner Gaunce. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War and worked for more than 30 years as a general contractor with Marshall General Contractors. Ken enjoyed working with wood, and he will be remembered as a good man. In addition to his wife, Ken is survived by his daughter, Lori Beth (John) Thornsberry of Georgetown; his son, Steven Michael (Kelly) Gaunce of Lexington; his three stepdaughters, Libby (Gary) Morris, Janice (Chris) Thompson, both from Georgetown, and Donna Brown of Stamping Ground; his four sisters, Nancy Corman, Sylvia (Charles) Sexton, and Charlotte (Dennie) Huff, all of Nicholasville and Lola (Tom) Richards of Bowling Green; his brothers, David (Judy) Gaunce of Lexington and Larry (Ann) Gaunce of NC; his eight grandchildren, Travis Warren Schweighardt, Kasi Leigh Mullannix, Michael Connor Gaunce, Karsyn Elizabeth Gaunce, Kristina Lynn Morris, Lesley Morris Starkey, Garrison Thompson, and Jonathan Thompson; his great-grandchildren, Laiken Hobbs and Blake Power; and his beloved dog, Liz. <b>Funeral Information</b> Memorial will be held at 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM Friday, June 21, 2013 at the Wilmore Presbyterian Church, 100 North Lexington Avenue, Wilmore, KY. Services to follow at 1:30 PM at Camp Nelson Cemetery in Nicholasville.
