Obituary of John F. "Jack" Gerstel

<b>Lexington, Kentucky</b> Lexington-John F. "Jack" Gerstel, 86, passed away on August 18, 2014. He was the devoted husband of Dianne Gerstel and loving father of Rev. Bryan (Linda) Gerstel and Cheryl (Scott) Campbell. Mr. Gerstel was born in Quincy, MA and spent a good part of his life involved in music. He and his late brother toured up and down the coast of New England for many years with their trio. He was a Welding Engineer by day and attended MIT and Berkley School of Music in Boston, MA. Surviving are his four grandchildren, Jonathan and Joshua Gerstel, Samantha (Travis) Sallee and Nathan Coffman; two great grandchildren, Jacob and Tiffany Sallee. <b>Funeral Information</b> Military Funeral service will be held at Camp Nelson National Cemetery on Monday, August 25, 2014 at 2:30pm. A celebration of his life and his music will be held following the service at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing.
