Obituary of Rose Gibbons

<b>Lexington, KY</b> Rose Gibbons, 87, died Saturday, October 19, 2013. She is survived by her husband of 68 years John Gibbons; her son Dan (Lana) Gibbons; grandchildren Scott (April) Gibbons and Jenny (Cory) Kent; great grandchildren Ryan Sharon, Scott Gibbons II, Sean Gibbons and Madison Walker. She is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Maggie Sparks Gentry; her son Dennis Gibbons; sisters Zelma (Clarence) Payne, Wilma (Deward) Lybrook, Aretta (Bill) Sears and Mary Lee (Oliver) Byrd; brothers Ernest (Mildred) Gentry, Oscar (Arvie) Gentry and Charles (Mildred) Gentry. Rose was a gifted quilter and in making and painting crafts. And anyone who ate a meal at her home, knew what a gifted cook she was. Mostly, she will be known for her deep love for her husband and their family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. <b>Funeral Information</b> There will be a Celebration of Life/visitation at the Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing, from 10-12 noon, Wednesday, October 23, 2013 followed by a service at noon. The burial will be at Lexington Cemetery at 1:30.
