Obituary of Jeanne Strunk Sheckels

<b>Lexington, KY</b> Jeanne Strunk Sheckels, 54, died Monday, September 23, 2013 after a brief illness. She is survived by her sister Tammy (Mark) Isaacs; her brother Roman Alan (Ida) Strunk; nephew Darren Isaacs; nieces, Holly Isaacs, Courtney Stephens and Gwen Johnson; her very special friend Ralphie and a ton of great friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald Eugene Sheckels and her parents Roman and Nannie Jean (Stephens) Strunk. Jeanne was a passionate and caring individual, who worked in all aspects of the medical field, from patient care to management. She was also a nurse and caregiver for her beloved husband. Jeanne was an avid supporter of many military veteran organizations and veterans rights groups, especially those based at Camp Nelson. She loved to read, and root for her favorite teams from the University of Kentucky, and spend time with her family and friends <b>Funeral Information</b> Visitation is at The Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing from 5-8 PM, Thursday, September 26, 2013. Funeral service is at 11:00 AM, Friday 27, 2013 at Clarks followed by the burial at Camp Nelson at 12:30.
