Obituary of Juanita Honaker

<b>Online Obituaries for Lexington, Frankfort, and Versailles KY</b> FRANKFORT- Juanita Honaker, 93, widow of James M. Honaker, died Saturday, January 17, 2015. She was born in Fleming County, Kentucky to the late Everett and Mary Elizabeth Plummer McClure on September 9, 1921. Mrs. Honaker was a personnel manager for Genesco and a member of Highland Christian Church, where she was a charter member and organizer of the "Sunshine Girls". This group of ladies took it upon themselves to call upon the sick and homebound members of the church and their families and friends. During WWII while her husband was serving in Germany, she was a "Rosie the Riveter" in Seattle, making airplane parts for the military. When reunited with her husband, James Honaker, after the war they moved to Frankfort, where she has resided for the past 68 years. She is survived by her daughter, Carole Honaker (Raymond) Wells, Prospect; her son, James "Mack" (Joyce) Honaker, Frankfort; her granddaughters, Jennifer (Chad) Montgomery, Georgetown and Sabrina Wells, Prospect; and her great grandchildren, Connor Lohman, Carter Lohman, Kennedy Lohman and Kerrigan Lohman. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Harold McClure and Everett McClure, Jr. <b>Funeral Information</b> Funeral Service will be 12pm Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as casket bearers will be Jennifer Montgomery, Sabrina Wells, Chad Montgomery, Kennedy Lohman, Kerrigan Lohman and Greg Wells. Visitation will be from 11am until the time of Service.
