Obituary of James Joseph Horine

<b>Lexington, Kentucky</b> James Joseph Horine, 72, husband of Janet, died Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the Hospice Care Center. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruth Horine and brother, Pat Horine. Jim graduated from Lexington Catholic High School and Transylvania University, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity. Jim had various sales representative positions and served in the United States Army Reserve before becoming a teacher of Religion and boys golf coach at Lexington Catholic High School. He was an ordained deacon in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lexington. Besides his wife, Jim is survived by his brother, Peter Michael Horine; nieces Ashley Dickey, Emily and Erin Horine; nephews, Shawn Horine and Brian Barton; great nephews, Nate, Nash and Neal Dickey. <b>Funeral Information</b> Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 2 from 3-5pm at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing. Funeral Mass will be 10am Monday Nov. 3 at Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church 601 Hill N' Dale Rd. Lexington, KY 40503.
