Obituary of Jack "Sandy" Montgomery

Jack was a lifelong resident of Versailles, born on April 16, 1941 to Oscar and Mildred Smith Montgomery. Jack was retired from Osram Sylvania and a member of Versailles Baptist Church. Jack was the loving husband of Elwanda Estes Montgomery, and loving father to Denise (Kyle) Montgomery Perkins, Anthony (Carrie) Montgomery, and Amanda Hampton. A loving grandfather to 7 grandchildren, Austin Clint Perkins, James Anthony Perkins, Anthony Jordan Montgomery, Dayton Lee Hampton, Kristofer Calen Montgomery, Victoria Emma Grace Hampton and Thomas Kelley Hampton and 2 great grandchildren, Brody Wayne Perkins and Marley Madison Montgomery. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Donald Allen Montgomery and Gary Mizer Montgomery. Jack's family was the love of his life and he always said, "Life shouldn't be a journey to the grave with intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly, totally worn out shouting, 'Wow! What a ride'!" <b>Funeral Information</b> A celebration of life will be held on August 2, 2014 at 516 Regent Court, Versailles, KY, from 1pm-5pm. Friends and family welcome.
