Obituary of Gregory Alan Banta

Gregory Alan Banta, 61 of Lancaster, KY peacefully passed away in the early hours of Monday April 22nd, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on April 17th, 1963, in Bourbon County, Kentucky to the late Billy Thomas Banta & Bonnie Dean Tipton.

Throughout his 61 years, he lived a very full life, and touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He prided himself most on being a devoted family man and a dedicated father and Pa. He was a go-getter, hardworking, funny, and witty man that was the life of any party. He loved being outdoors, riding horses, and enjoying the simple things in life.

Greg’s legacy lives on through his 3 beautiful daughters, Amber (Jake) Conkwright, Kelsey (Ashley) Banta, and Madison Banta. His grandchildren, Kylee & Kaleb Conkwright and Kaiden Banta. Additionally, he is survived by his siblings, Jeff (Leisa Brumfield) Banta, Melissa (Wilbert) Smith, Patricia Banta, and Carol (David) Smith.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Banta.

There will be a visitation for Greg on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Clark Legacy Center in Nicholasville, KY from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm, his funeral service will be at 12:30 pm, with burial immediately following at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens.

Join us for a potluck dinner in celebration of Greg’s life on Monday afternoon in Lancaster, KY, immediately following the burial services.
