Obituary of Ronald Wayne Carpenter

Ronald Wayne Carpenter born December 9, 1943, in Maysville, KY passed away on March 3, 2024. His survivors are his children, Cindy Blevins, Lexington, KY, Erin Carpenter (George Bellant) Southaven, MS; grandchildren, Brittany Lark Simpsonville, KY and Courtney (Andrew) Mueller Lexington, KY; great grandchildren, McKinley and Kayson; brother Calvin Carpenter, Winchester, KY.

Ron was a member of the Lexington Fayette Urban County Police department serving from 1968-1989. During these years he served as motorcycle patrol officer, auto theft detective and training unit operating the police gun range. He was also Policeman of the Year He joined the US Army in 1964 for duty then moved on several years later to serve in the US Army Reserves where he obtained the rank of Sergeant Major retiring in 2003.

He will be missed greatly but we are at comfort knowing he is at peace. Special thank you to Dover Health & Rehabilitation and Hospice of the Bluegrass for their care.
