



Obituary of Margaret Adelaide Hatfull
Margaret “Mickey” Adelaide Hatfull (nee Busch), devoted daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother died peacefully at home on November 20, 2023, after a four-year battle with GIST cancer. Mickey was born in Oceanside, NY in 1939.
Mickey began her career as a hairdresser and beautician but after getting married she started her second life-long career as a devoted wife and mother.
Mickey had a love of antiques and anything old. She and husband Jim maintained a booth at the Georgetown Antique Mall for decades and spent much time together traveling to purchase inventory for the booth and for their own collections.
She also loved crafts and did tole painting, a form of folk art. Jim did the woodworking and Mickey did the painting, one of the many ways she expressed her artistic talents. They shared this activity for years visiting many craft shows where these items were sold. She was also a prolific knitter in her later years.
She is preceded in death by her parents Henry and Catherine Busch (nee Tonjes), sister Catherine “Cappy” Bideaux (Wesley), and stillborn granddaughter Teresa Hatfull.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years James “Jim” Hatfull; sons Keith Hatfull (Dianne), Owen Hatfull (Jodi), and Wesley Hatfull (Lesley); grandchildren, Emma (Brandon) Rust, Heather, Eric, Rebecca, and Kaley Hatfull, along with many wonderful friends and neighbors who all miss her dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Mickey on Saturday, November 25, 2023, from 12:00pm-2:00pm at Clark Funeral Home, in Versailles, KY. An urn burial will take place after the visitation, at Versailles Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Cancer Society.
