Obituary of Tina Irene Fee

Tina Irene Fee, 66, a wonderfully loved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, peacefully departed this world on November 9, 2023.  Tina is preceded in death by her father, William Hash, and her mother, Lillian “Nanny” Hash.  She is survived by her husband Tom Fee; Sister Cecilia Gorham; Brother Barry (Tammy) Gorham; Brother Troy (Alyson) Hash; Daughter Ande Wirtzberger, Son Josh (Jenna) Fee, Daughter Lauren (Ben) WIlliams, Stepdaughter Marti (George) Quintero; and her 9 cherished grandchildren, Kennedy, Lily, Owen, Sam, James, Sydney, Carter, Charlie and Cooper.  Tina was born in Lexington, KY and attended Lafayette High School.

Tina loved Jesus, and you could tell by how she loved and took care of others.  As her husband, Tom, described her, “She was a good lady with a big heart.”  She loved broken, down-on-their-luck, marginalized people.  She carried the burdens of family and friends through their illnesses and pain.  She gave freely to people without expectation.  Just as her mother before her, her kitchen was a laboratory of kindness and generosity.  Never using a recipe, just extra butter and sugar.  Her secret though was that she poured herself into every meal.

She lived for her family.  The strength of her 48 year marriage to her husband, Tom, was remarkable.  They modeled what real devotion to another looks like.  She loved her kids deeply and she absolutely adored her grandchildren.  To them, she was Nina.  Nothing made her smile more than seeing or even hearing about something they did or said.  She was always so proud of her family.

Tina treated everyone like family, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  She is in the arms of her Savior now.  And she is once again doing what she loved doing the most, early morning walks on the beach with her mom, drinking coffee and picking up shells.

A visitation/celebration of life will be held Sunday, November 19, 2023, from 3-5pm, at Clark Legacy Center Brannon Crossing, Nicholasville, KY.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made by check to Steps and Strides Equestrian Services, 3145 High Bridge Rd., Wilmore, KY 40390, a non-profit where her granddaughter, Sydney, receives horse therapy.
