Obituary of Betty Ann Jett

Betty Ann Jett, 88, wife of the late William Abbifith Jett, passed away on October 22, 2023 in Lexington. Betty was born in Sardis, Kentucky on October 20, 1935 to the late Everett and Elizabeth Brierly. Betty worked as a beloved beautician for over 60 years. She was a devoted member of Tates Creek Christian Church and enjoyed crocheting and reading, but above all loved her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  

Betty is survived by her daughters, Vickie (David) Cole, Debbie (Jeff) Isaacs, and Teresa (Brian) Barker; her grandchildren, Sarah (Steven) Smith, Rachel (Joe) Robinson, Tyler Isaacs, Grace Isaacs, Brendan Barker, Nathan Barker, Carson Barker; great-grandchildren, Ava Smith, Asher Smith, Sloane Robinson, and Colette Robinson; and nieces and nephews.  

In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by her sister, Pearl Pryor; and her brothers, Shirley Brierly, Chan Brierly, and Gene Henson.    

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 1pm at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing, officiated by Tommy Simpson. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 5pm-7pm at the funeral home.
