Obituary of Glen Walton

Retired Kentucky State Trooper Glen Walton, 78 of Frankfort, passed away unexpectedly on October 20, 2023 at Frankfort Regional Hospital. Born on August 4, 1945, son of Paul and Marie Walton of Salt Lick, KY. Preceding him in death were his parents.

He is survived by the love of his life for 56 years, wife Xenia Lukjanovs Walton. Daughters: Elena (Shane) Hart, Glenna (Michael) Hockensmith, and Tanya (Shawn) Kearney. Grandchildren: Kiersten and Breanna Hart, Kaylee and Koleman Hockensmith and Samara Kearney. Brother Jimmie (Jeanette) Walton and niece Ann Marie Walton.

After high school graduation, Glen entered the United States Air Force. Upon his honorable discharge from the Air Force he became a Kentucky State Trooper where he served for 26 years before retiring in 1997. During his distinguished career, Trooper Walton received the Commission of Kentucky Colonel twice.

One of his greatest joys in life was his grandkids. He loved the Lord above all things and always tried to live according to God’s Word.

Glen was a member of Frankfort First Assembly of God Church (Elevate) for many years.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 10:00 am - 1:00pm at Clark Legacy Center. Funeral service will begin at 1:00pm. Burial with military honors to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
