Obituary of Randy Dee Oliver

Randy Dee Oliver, age 67, passed away at his home in Frankfort, KY on 10/17/23.  Randy was born in Princeton, KY on January 4, 1956 to the late Luther D. and Mary Katherine Oliver and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Princeton.

Randy was a graduate of Western Kentucky University and worked his entire career as an employee with the Kentucky Department for Behavioral Health where he became a Manager.  After retirement, he enjoyed working as a part-time staff member at Lakeview Golf Complex where he had many friends and close co-workers.  Randy loved reading and was a fan of classic movies.  He was also a long-time disc golf competitor.  Randy actively studied WW II history tracing the career of his father who served on the European front.

Randy is preceded in death by his wife Olena Oliver, his parents Luther and Kathy Oliver, paternal grandparents Carter and Helen Oliver and maternal grandparents Charlie and Ruth Jones.

Randy is survived by his brothers, Stanley (Kelley) Oliver of Lexington, South Carolina; Michael (Debbie) Oliver of Huntersville, North Carolina; and sister Lisa (Jeff) Bradford, of Franklin, Tennessee in addition to many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service to honor Randy is yet to be scheduled.
