Obituary of Mary K. Lippert
After longing for heaven for many years, Mary Katherine (Sturgeon) Lippert, Age 96, was granted her wish and received her rewards when God welcomed her through the pearly gates into heaven on October 18, 2023. She is survived by a daughter, Janice (Larry) Williams, daughter-in law, Ping (Ann) Chi Lippert, granddaughter, Jennifer (Mark) Welch, and three great-grandchildren, Aaron, Cooper and Josie Welch. Preceding her in death were husband, William T. (Boogie) Lippert, son, Thomas W. Lippert, grandson, Chad Thomas Lippert, brothers, Raymond, Harold, and Elmer Sturgeon, and half-sister Norma Davis.
Mother loved her family, and always enjoyed having company. She loved to sit on her front porch or out in the yard watching and waving at neighbors as they drove by. She enjoyed her independence and was always quick to tell you, that even in her “senior age,” she had a sharp mind! She was blessed beyond measure with many friends who would visit and share treats with her on a regular basis. When she could no longer drive, she enjoyed writing notes and sending cards to many on the church prayer list and friends she had enjoyed through the years.
God was good to her and she loved the Lord. She was a member of the Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church for many years. Becoming a wife and mother she taught her children the importance of having a personal relationship with the Lord and serving others. She taught discipline and respect and was quick to share her views even if not requested. She shared a great love and concern for her great grandchildren and worried our world was moving away from the America and principles she grew to know and love for 96 years; but, knowing God is in control and our hope and trust is in Him, she fought a good fight and surrendered it all leaving this world with peace in her heart and an attitude of gratitude. She was a good, good mother and she will be greatly missed.
