Obituary of Ronnie Louis Puckett

Ronnie Louis Puckett, 68, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 14, 2023, with family and friends by his side. The son of the late Garland Puckett and Corinne Cook Buss, Ron was born August 26, 1955, in Shelbyville, Kentucky. He was a dispatcher for many years, first at Fruit of the Loom, then Phoenix Transportation in Georgetown, Kentucky until his retirement. Ron was a big Louisville Cardinal fan.  

In addition to his mother, Corinne Cook Buss of Shelbyville, Ron is survived by his children, Sophia Puckett of La Grange, Justin Puckett of Shelbyville, and Zachary Puckett of Simpsonville; and by his loving partner of 32 years, Vernon D. Wallace of Frankfort.  

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Garland Puckett and stepfather, Don Buss.  

A Graveside Service will be held 12:00pm, Friday, October 20, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Chapel, with Rev. Jesse Baxter officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00am until 12:00pm, Friday, October 20, 2023, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd, Frankfort. Keith Jesse, Justin Puckett, Zachary Puckett, David Wallace, Douglas Wallace, and Travis Wallace will serve as pallbearers.  

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests Memorial Contributions be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators, 1733 Harrodsburg Rd, Lexington, KY 40504, the Franklin County Humane Society at 100 Companion Place, Frankfort, KY 40601, or to LIFE House for Animals at 14 Fido Court, Frankfort, KY 40601.
