Obituary of Dr. David Neal Massie

Dr. David Neal Massie "Doc", DVM, 79, husband of Sondra Bollinger Massie, passed away on October 13, 2023 in Lexington.  Dr. Massie was born in Jackson, Mississippi on December 29, 1943 to the late Jay W. and Mary Daniel Massie.

He was a graduate of Mississippi Staute University and Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. 

David and his wife owned and operated Town & Country Veterinary Services in Frankfort for many years before retirement.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Amee (David) Osbon, of Richmond, Melissa Massie, of Berea, grandson, Xavier Osbon, brother, Dr. Daniel (Tita) Massie, of South Carolina, nieces and nephews, Dr. Vaughn (Meg) Massie, Maria Massie and Dr. Natalie (Josh) Gregory. He was preceded in death by his nephew, David Massie.

A Celebration of Life service will be Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 2pm, at Clark Legacy Center, Frankfort, led by Dr. Daniel Massie and Curt Gardner. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 12pm.
