Obituary of Larry Allen Hazelwood

Larry Allen Hazelwood, 74, husband of Dixie Ann Hazelwood, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023. A native of Lexington, he was born on January 18, 1949 to Mary Vell Presley Hazelwood and the late Charles Perry Hazelwood. Larry worked for the State of Kentucky as a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor.  

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his daughter, Michele Hazelwood, Hardin; his son, Larry Allen (Katie) Hazelwood II, Frankfort; his brother, Rick Hazelwood, Lexington; his grandchildren, Ashley Marie Dixon, Cole Aaron Dixon, Tyler, Tristyn, and Grant Lacy, and Mya Hazelwood; as well as 3 great grandchildren.  

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Hazelwood.  

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd with Pastor Gary Hager officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as casketbearers will be George Wilson, Allen Hazelwood, Tyler Lacy, Grant Lacy, Jimmy Allen, and Cole Dixon. Visitation will be held from 12:00pm until the time of service on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd.
