Obituary of Clara Ross Falk
Clara Ross Falk, 96, ran into the open arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 12, 2023, following a brief illness. The widow of Charles Grady Falk, Clara was born March 19, 1927, to the late John and Mary Bolton Ross in St. Augustine, Florida. She spent many years dedicating her life to the Lord. She was the choir director for the Owensboro Christian Chruch for many years before continuing her service as choir director at Capital City Christian Church in Frankfort, Kentucky. She brought the “Mayberry” to Capital City Christian Church and was seen by many. Her love for the Lord and her family was followed very closely by her love of music. It brought her great pride and joy to conduct and sing for the years she was physically able. Clara never met another without a smiling face and a heart full of excitement. She truly carried her love for the Lord and song in her heart each day. It nearly bubbled over. She may have been a tiny woman, but when God world through her, she was a giant.
Clara is survived by her children, Teresa (Willis A.) Lee of Frankfort, Susan (Tony) Midkiff of Fordsville, Charles G. (Dixie) Falk, Jr of Bowling Green, and Johnny T. (Kathy) Falk of North Carolina; her sister, Joyce (John Parent) Hill of South Carolina; brothers, William (Sandra) Ross of North Carolina and Mickey (Wanda) Ross of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Chip (Patricia) Falk, William (Heather) Falk, Aaron (Amber) Midkiff, Jarred Midkiff, Matthew Lee, Grady Lee, and Michael Lee; 9 great grandchildren with one on the way which kept her beaming from ear to ear; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Charles G. Falk. It brought her true happiness to have been his faithful wife for 67 years. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gerry Kalista, and a brother, Jimmy Ross.
A Funeral Service will be held 11:00am, on Monday, October 16, 2023, at Capital City Christian Church, Frankfort, with Dr. Stephen Pattison and Pastor Jon Sutphin officiating.
