Wanda Mae (Clark) Ross

Sunrise May 18, 1933 Blount County, Tennessee; Sunset September 20, 2023 Lexington, Kentucky.

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Wanda was a graduate of Durham Beauty School, Danville, Kentucky.  Wanda enjoyed a successful career as a hair stylist, eventually owning and operating her own salon prior to retirement in 1997. Wanda loved her family and friends through her delicious cooking.  She enjoyed reading, long walks and gardening, especially tending to her knockout  roses. She relished spending time with her children, especially when they brought her grandchildren to visit. She especially enjoyed being able to spend time with her great-granddaughter. Above all, she cherished her husband of sixty-five years.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ellis Rae Ross; brothers Robert Clark, Don Clark, Wayne Clark, Tim Clark, Ronnie Clark; sisters Margaret Bailey, Brenda Quinn.

Wanda’s memory will be cherished by her son Gerald (Debra) Ross; daughter Geneva (Ron) Suber; and grandchildren Jason (Meagan) Ross; Anna Ross; Gregory Suber; great- granddaughter Analyn Rae Kincer; sisters Dicie Allen, Dorothy (Marvin) Blair, Mary Lynn (Bill) Lambert, Sandy Campbell; and a host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
