Obituary of Billy Joe Welch

Billy Joe Welch, 56, passed away on September 18, 2023, surrounded by family in his home in Nicholasville.  Mr. Welch was born in Lexington, Kentucky on March 22, 1967 to Eugene Welch and Leeta Alcorn. He worked diligently for 38 years at CMC Excavating where he was a Heavy Equipment Operator. Billy Joe was known for being a hard worker, but he was especially known to love traveling. He also really loved music.

He is survived by a large and loving family. Starting with his daughter Marilyn. His mother Leeta and father Butch. His brother Ricky (Lisa) Welch. His uncles Jimmy, Larry, Tommy, Elwood and Virgil. His aunts Brenda and Rita, and his cousins Dana, Shelley, Kim, Tiffany, Trina, and Jr.

Mr. Welch was preceded in death by his uncles George, Kenny, Henry, and his aunt Laura "Sissy" Presley.

A memorial service for Billy Joe will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 2-3pm, with a service at 3pm, at Clark Legacy Center - Nicholasville.
