Obituary of Stella J Wilds

Stella Delaney Wilds, 87, wife of the late John J Wilds, passed away on September 18, 2023 in Lexington.  Mrs. Wilds was born in Lexington, Kentucky on April 24, 1936 to the late Lewis Delaney and Lucy Helton.  She retired after working many years with Kentucky Inn. Stella loved to draw, paint, read and do crossword puzzles. Stella had many years of memories playing with her grandkids. She also loved her little dog Lucy!

She is survived by her daughters Barbara (David) Haney, Mary Ann (John) Hoskins, Jeanine (George) Campbell. Her grandkids Toni Estes, Spencer McKenzie, Peyton Hoskins, David A Haney, Kimberly Jebens, Cody Haney, Drake Haney, Laila Haney, Madison Campbell, Noah Campbell, Michael Campbell, and Ian Campbell. Her great-grandkids Landon Sipes, Adalynn Sipes, Dakota Haney, Luke Jebens, Lyla Campbell, Georgia Campbell, Olivia Campbell, and Kashton Sydnor, and her sisters Irene Gabhart, Shirley Gilchrist, and Mary Jelf.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilds was preceded in death by her brothers Ed, James, and Verlin Delaney.

Stella will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park, in Lexington, KY.
