



Obituary of Jody Lyle Thompson
Jody Lyle Thompson, 65, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023. The husband of Debora McDonald Thompson, Jody was born December 24, 1957, to the late John and Dorothy Spiker Thompson in Daytona Beach, Florida. A US Army veteran and a man of strong Christian faith, Jody loved to read his bible and was devoted to God and his family. He enjoyed fishing, bird watching, antiquing, and going to yard sales. He also loved painting watercolors and canvas portraits of just about anything. If something needed to be fixed, he was your man! Jody was just a good, loving husband and father who enjoyed life and nature.
In addition to his wife of 46 years, Debora McDonald Thompson, he is survived by his children, Hilari (Leland) Wilson of Lexington, Paul (Diamond) Thompson of Erlanger, and Thomas (Alana) Thompson of Georgetown; sisters, Jenny Bates of Lexington and Melody Rednour of Albany; and his grandsons, Travis Thompson and Elijah Thompson.
Jody was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dororthy Spiker Thompson, and his brothers, Kevin Thompson and Lindsey Thompson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00p, on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Clark Legacy Center, 3000 Versailles Rd, Frankfort, with Bro. Dean Scott officiating. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 4:00p until the time of Celebration on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
