Obituary of Mary Frances Doyle

DOYLE, Mary Frances Dixon “Frankie”, 85, died Wednesday September 6, 2023. Frankie was the beloved wife of the late John Cleve Doyle “Jay” and the daughter of the late William Dixon and Della Rae Oliver Dixon. Frankie was a lifetime resident of Lexington and Nicholasville, KY.  

Frankie was blessed to be a stay at home mom for her three T’s and provided the best childhood any child could dream of.  As her children grew up she worked in their elementary school cafeteria so she could be home with them in the afternoon. She then went to work at IBM and later retired. She raised her family at Porter Memorial Baptist Church and later attended St. Luke Methodist Church in Lexington. She was devoted to all of her family and friends and put her family above all else. She was “Mamaw” to all her grandchildren, great grandchildren and many who loved her.

Survivors include her daughters and their families, Teresa and Jack Taylor, John Adam Taylor and Sarah Taylor Cumuze, Athens, GA, Tammy and Jim Bowen, Lexington, KY, Justin Bowen, Athens, GA, Jordan Bowen and Bevin Bowen, Lexington, KY, Tracey and Kyle Longstreth, Titusville, FL, Michelle Longstreth Alverez, Philadelphia, PA and Craig Longstreth, West Palm, FL, and her bonus daughter Joyce and Ralph Williams, Cynthiana, KY, Scott Whitt, Lexington, KY, Jill Stroub and Jamie Williams, Cynthiana, KY; sister-in-law, Betty Dixon, Nicholasville, KY.

She was preceded in death by her sister, JoAnn Reed (Leo) and her brothers; Harry Dixon (Fran) and Steve Dixon.  

Visitation will be held at Clark Legacy Center, 601 E. Brannon Rd., Nicholasville, KY 40356 on Monday, September 11, 2023 10:00am to 12:00pm. Funeral service at 12:00pm. Followed by Graveside services to be held at the Lexington Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Justin Bowen, Adam Taylor, Craig Longstreth, Scott Whitt, David Reed, and Matthew Ragan. Artie Bowen will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
