Obituary of Helen Joan Follis Hutcherson

Helen J. Follis Hutcherson, 86, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. The wife of the late James A. Hutcherson, Helen was born September 16, 1936, to the late Horace and Thelma True Follis in Ft. Sumner, New Mexico. A devoted Christian, Helen loved the Lord and spreading His word through Prison Ministry for many years. She enjoyed quilting, needlework, and was a fantastic seamstress, making clothing for her children as well as their dolls. When entertaining family and friends, Helen was in her element. When she wasn’t preparing a beautiful meal or creating a quilt with love, Helen was thinking about her next adventure.  

Helen is survived by her children, Tammy Moore of Versailles, Debbie (Michael) Adcock of Frankfort, Randy (Christine) Hutcherson of Louisville, and Roy (Pam) Hutcherson of Florida; 8 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. 

In addition to her loving husband, James A. Hutcherson, Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Thelma True Follis and her sisters, Norma Kibbee and Coy Garrison.  

Services will be Private at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road, Frankfort, with Rev. Sam Glenn officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Frankfort with Nathan Paul, Travis Moore, and Cameron Wilson serving as pallbearers.
