




Obituary of William Thomas Nallia
William T. "Bill" Nallia, husband of Linda Sue Nallia, died on Sunday, September 3, 2023, in Frankfort, KY. Bill was born in Buffalo, KY in LaRue County on October 7, 1933, to Lona B and Earl "Tobe" Nallia.
He is survived by three daughters, Susan Lynn Barnes, Sara Scott Jaggers (Chris), Jennifer Layne Marye (Mac), one son, Gregory Thomas Nallia (Ginger), and one brother, Robert Blond Nallia. He has seven grandchildren, Melody Nallia, Jessica Fudge, Amanda Meurer, and Kolby Scott Nesselrode, Sydney Layne Marye, Savannah Kole Marye, Luke Thomas Marye, and four great great-grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild, Lyric Nallia.
He graduated from Buffalo High School in 1952, was drafted into the Army serving his country in Korea as a tanker. He graduated from Western University in Bowling Green with a master's degree in School Administration.
Bill taught school, coached, was a middle school principal and worked with Federal Programs at the Central Office in LaRue County, and worked at the KY Department of Education in Frankfort. In addition to this, he was employed for 10 years by the University of South Alabama in Mobile to assist public schools in Alabama to meet the federal guidelines for school desegregation.
He worked for 11 years as the Director of KY Association of School Administrators in Frankfort and then started his own educational consulting firm called Educational Advances working with school systems throughout the USA. After consulting, he and a dear Christian brother, Larry Cave started a telecom management company called WonWay Communications.
Bill has always been concerned about the welfare of children who were in great need with little hope. He through his church, Buck Run Baptist Church, reached out to the street and Gypsy children of Bucharest, Romania. In more recent years, he has served as President of Children First: Love & Hope, Inc. Foundation. This Foundation provides an orphanage for Haitian children who need love and hope.
In Lieu of flowers, Bill would like the Children First Foundation to receive any memorial gifts that will be used to help meet the needs of these Haitian Orphans.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 11, 2023, at 12pm with Dr. Hershel York and Pastor Mac Marye officiating at Clark Legacy Center in Frankfort.
Visitation will begin prior to the service on Monday, September 11, 2023, beginning at 10am until the time of service at 12pm.
