Obituary of Timothy Reed Monroe

Timothy Reed Monroe, 63, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. The husband of Donna Elam Monroe, Timothy was born September 11. 1959, to the late James and Helen Petrey Monroe, Jr in Frankfort, Kentucky. The Safety Director for Bluegrass Community Action, Timothy viewed his work as a ministry. He enjoyed working and leading people, but loved to witness with those that surrounded him. God, family, and anything with an engine were his life’s passions. He was currently attending Capital City Christian Church in Frankfort and was excited about committing himself as a member.  

In addition to his wife of nearly 44 years, Donna Elam Monroe, Timothy is survived by his children, Christy Monroe of Frankfort, and T.J. (Amanda) Monroe of West Virginia; his sister, Judy Dickerson of Frankfort; and his grandchildren, Jacob, Saree, Jackie, Bruce, Aneesah, Janaya, and Ezequiel.  

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00pm, Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd, Frankfort, with Pastor Jon Sutphin officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Frankfort. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, on Monday, August 14, 2023, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd, Frankfort.
